Building your own automatic dart scoring system is easy, can be set up in minutes and is free to play with Dart It.
It works with off-the-shelf webcams attached to your LED-Ring and runs entirely in your web browser. You can achieve a detection accurary of over 99%.

Please note: Some computers have difficulty handling three webcams simultaneously due to limited USB bandwidth. Here are some tips on how to connect them effectively. If your computer still cannot process all three cameras, consider using a Raspberry Pi 5 with Firefox, which is also used in the video.

These webcams worked well when attached to the Target Corona lighting system
If you have access to a 3D printer, you can also print these camera mounts and use a camera modul like the OV9732 with 100° FOV. This camera also consumes less USB bandwidth and is therefore more likely to work than the cameras above.
So far Dart It has mostly been used with the Target Corona lighting system. However, it should also work with other LED Rings such as the Winmau Plasma or Mission Torus. The position of the cameras and the angle between the cameras is variable. Only make sure that the dart board is fully visible in all images and the cameras are not to close together.
After setting up your system, you might want to fine-tune the detection parameters. Check the detection settings, throw some darts and adapt the thresholds for your set up.
